To tune in the Digital TV receiver, we suggest you do the following:
Connect the scart or RCA cable to the back of the receiver, then connect the 3-AV cable end to the TV's audio/video in, yellow goes to video, red/white to audio. Switch your TV to AV mode, then turn on the receiver. If you connect the cables correctly, you should see the receiver logo on your TV screen. Follow the On Screen Display to tune in the receiver.
If the receiver is already tuned in but you are not satisfied with the reception, you can choose the option through MENU to reset the unit to Factory Default (see the next question), then unplug the power for a few minutes, then plug it back in, and follow the OSD to tune in again.
Check connections from antenna to TV. Use well-shielded cable. Also note that the quality of the antenna you use will effect picture quality.
You can also try resetting the STB and tune in the channels again:
MENU -> MAIN MENU -> EDIT SETTINGS -> FACTORY DEFAULT
Select OK
Choose ENGLISH
Choose AUSTRALIA (or whatever country you are)
Choose STATE
Scan Channels
OK
To use the PVR, you can press the PVR key on the remote control, then following the on screen key indication to operate the unit, i.e.. press "7" key to show previous recorded program, "6" to fast forward 5 mins. You can also press OK key to change display mode cycle, e.g. to get rid of the on screen menu.
There may be problem with your antenna or the poor TV signal for that channel in your area. We highly recommend you to use a proper installed outdoor antenna. Also using the "Professional Scan" option it is possible to manually enter a channel frequency. Refer to your user manual for Manually tuning that missing channel. If you tune in the correct frequency, but still can not see the signal, we suggest taking the STB to somewhere with a known-good antenna, such as your friend's place, to see if the STB works on that antenna.
Please contact WINTAL technical support directly in your area for your problem. The contact details are on the manual, or can be found on http://www.wintal.com.au/
Most problem is caused by incorrect cable connection. Place the transmitter and receiver in the same room, connect the cables correctly, and test if you can get a good signal from your second TV. Once working, you can move the receiver into another room.
make sure you plug in the extension cable into the transmitter, then place the two little blocks in front of the device's IR panel (such as TV, DVD player or VCR), as where you would with your remote control. When you press the remote control in the bedroom, you should see a green light flashing on the receiver, if the transmitter in the sitting room gets the signal, its green light will flash as well.
Switch off all the wireless device inside the house, such as cordless phone, wireless router first. Place transmitter and receiver in the same room, connect the cables correctly, and test if you can get a good signal from your second TV. once working, you can move the receiver into another room. If you still can have not luck with it, we suggest you to take it your friend's place to try it again. Sometime the interference may come from your next door.
